The Central Valley Brass will be appearing in concert on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 3 p.m., the concert being hosted at Harvest Presbyterian Church Worship Center, 1813 Moffett Road, Ceres.

The church is continuing its musical outreach with the September concert featuring the Central Valley Brass Quintet. The group consists two trumpets, one French horn, one trombone and one tuba. Robert Stone and Evan Maxfield play the trumpet; both are from Modesto. Karen Bucio plays the French horn and is a long time Ceres resident. Byron Yerzy, trombonist, is from Ripon and Dan Olivas plays the tuba and is from Keyes.

The Central Valley Brass has performed at many venues including the State Theatre in Modesto, the Stanislaus County Fair, the Merced Fair, the MJC Chamber Concert Series, the Modesto Traditional Jazz Society Concerts, the West Side Theatre Concert Series in Newman, Stockton’s Flavor Fest and numerous other private and political occasions.

There is no charge for tickets for the afternoon concert on Sunday, Sept. 22 but donations for the musicians are gratefully accepted.
