Dos Reis Regional Park is one of the South County’s best kept secrets.
it’s been closed since late January due to high waters but will reopen this Monday, Aug. 21, for camping and day use only. The boat launch will remain closed as the docks need repairs. There is no estimated reopening target.

Not only is it one of two public accesses to the river south of Stockton to the confluence of the Stanislaus River, but it offers rare riverside camping for both RVs and tents. The other public access — Mossdale Crossing Regional Park — remains closed

The Dos Reis county park on the shelf on the river side of the levees also features flush toilets and showers, picnic area with lattice shade cover and a playground with a horseshoe pit.

It is within a quarter of a mile of Lathrop High but is accessed by driving to the end of Dos Reis Road. You can reach Dos Reis Road by taking Lathrop Road west under Interstate 5 and then turning right on South Manthey Road. Dos Reis Road is the first left turn.

The cost weekdays is $5 per vehicle with the cost jumping to $6 on weekends and holidays. No credit cards are accepted at kiosks. Vehicles over 22 feet are $10 on weekdays and $12 on weekends and holidays. Pets are $1 apiece and must be on leashes.

There are 26 RV campsites with full hookups and shower facilities.  There are also campsites.
