The second annual Friends of Community Hospice and Health Services Walk & Roll Fun Run is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 27. This untimed event will be offered at Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto. A Fun Zone opens at 8:30 a.m.; the Fun Run itself gets underway at 9 a.m.

Funds raised to support this event will go towards Gabriel’s Friends Pediatric Care Fund, which provides much needed resources for Hospice’s youngest patients and their families. Designed for children and teens ages birth to 21, the specialized Pediatric Care Programs focus on enhancing quality of life for not only the child but the entire family.

Registration is also available in person, beginning at 8 a.m., on the day of the event. Cost to participate is $30 for adults, $10 for those up to 18 years old; 2 and under are admitted free. There will be both a 1k and a 5k; participants can walk, run or roll to support Community Hospice and Health Services.
