The proposed Riverbank teen center is headed for review by the Riverbank City Council on Aug. 27. Officials rejected an Aug. 13 date because that is the first day of school.
A dozen teens, several adults and recreation department officials met with the architect Monday to put final touches on the plans before their presentation to council.
Jonathan Hammond and Candace Harrison of Indigo/Hammond & Playle Architects of Davis presented the latest drawings and explained changes since the last meeting.
Estimated to cost about $600,000, the 2,600 square foot building with a sloped metal roof, main walls of straw bales encased in stucco, plenty of glass and exterior columns of wood will be located on the west side of the Community Center.
