In action recently, members of the Riverbank City Council voted to appoint Armando Rodriguez Jr. to a vacant Alternate Planning Commissioner seat. He was nominated for the post by Mayor Rachel Hernandez.
The seat has a full two-year term, effective April 1, and ending March 31, 2027. The Planning Commission is advisory to the city council, reviewing and making recommendations on long-term planning and development, ensuring that growth and development occur in a way that aligns with the community’s vision and goals.
The commission forwards its recommendations; the final decision-making power rests with the council.
