The 2024 Central Valley Business Expo Committee recently announced that this year’s event, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Modesto Centre Plaza, will feature a Young Entrepreneur Contest with 10 finalists competing for a chance to win $2,500 and a 12-month mentorship to help kickstart their business. The theme for this year’s event, which is presented by Love’s Air, Sutter Health, and Industry Standard Electric, will once again be Learn. Network. Build. This year’s event offers attendees a cross-section of industry leaders speaking on industry-specific topics designed to help positively impact small and mid-size businesses throughout the region.

The 2024 edition of the Business Expo will feature 24 breakout sessions with seven Continuing Education credits available to attendees. There will also be three speaking panels held throughout the day along two networking events for Business Owners and HR Professionals. The CV Business Expo also showcases the educational resources available to support small to mid-size business owners throughout the Central Valley region with over 20 local small business resources located at the onsite resource center where business owners can learn more about the variety of resources that are readily available to assist their company.

“This event has grown in both size and scope based on the success that it achieved last year,” noted Fred Rasuli, Co-Chair for the 2024 Central Valley Business Expo. “We feel confident that this year’s event, which is the result of a unique collaboration between both government and private sector organizations, will prove to be an important catalyst in helping to provide critical support to local business throughout the Central Valley.”

Among the hot topics to be covered in breakout sessions at this year’s event will be HR Legal Updates, Tax Incentives & Credit, Leadership Development, Workplace Violence Solutions, Risk & Safety Guidance, Cyber Security, Employee Development Solutions, Harnessing Cutting-Edge Technology and more. The Expo includes a pre-conference Meet & Greet VIP Event that is being held on Wednesday Nov. 6, at 5 p.m. at Greens on Tenth in Modesto, and features a Silent Auction that will help raise funds for the Youth Entrepreneur contest prize winners.

The Central Valley Business Expo 2024 is planning to host 300 to 400 individual business owner/manager level attendees, with 55-plus local business exhibitors across a multitude of business sectors from Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Merced, and Tuolumne counties.
