In Riverbank business news, it has been announced that the local O’Brien’s Market is changing hands. Recent reports have been confirmed, and Cost Less will be taking over on July 1. According to some employees, they have been interviewed in the past week to determine if they want to continue to work there, but said that O’Brien’s management also was going to be moving those who wanted to continue to work for them to either of the other two stores, on Roseburg or on Dale Road, both in Modesto. Manager Bill O’Brien said that he would continue to be working from the office upstairs in Riverbank, since the other two locations don’t have similar facilities. He also said they’d be leasing the downstairs area to Cost Less.
