Drunk in public, collisions, assault, and shoplifting were just a few of the calls for service that Riverbank Police Services deputies handled this past week.
On Sunday, Nov. 13 at 12:03 a.m., deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a grey Infinity with no plates. The vehicle evaded capture and the pursuit was cancelled.
Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Burneyville Road and River Cove Drive on a subject in public who was intoxicated on Sunday at 6:09 p.m. Deputies made contact with the 55-year-old man, who was arrested for drunk in public.
On Friday, Nov. 11 at 11:22 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Patterson Road and Callander Avenue on a non-injury motor vehicle accident.
Deputies were dispatched to the Flavors parking lot, 2200 block of Patterson Road, on an assault with a deadly weapon on Friday at 12:14 p.m. The victim claimed that he got into an argument with a subject, who was later identified and said the man tried to run him down with his vehicle. A warrant has been issued for the suspect’s arrest.
At 4:23 p.m. on Friday, deputies were dispatched to Target on a shoplifter who was being detained. Deputies made contact with a 56-year-old man and he was taken into custody for shoplifting.
On Friday night at 10:06 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 3500 block of Sierra Street on an assault. Upon arrival, the victim said he was jumped by several unknown male subjects and received physical injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
On Thursday, Nov. 10 at 2:22 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 3700 block of Texas Avenue on a violation of a custody order.
During the afternoon on Thursday at 4:31 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 6700 block of Third Street on theft of mail. There is no suspect information at this time.
At 5:39 p.m. on Thursday, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Patterson Road and Jackson Avenue on a non-injury motor vehicle accident.
Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop at Patterson Road and Central Avenue on Thursday at 10:33 p.m. The suspect failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued. The suspect finally yielded at Patterson Road and Eleanor Road. The driver, a 49-year-old man, was arrested for failure to yield and driving while under the influence.
At 11:17 p.m. on Thursday, deputies were dispatched to the 2200 block of Alarose Way on a male subject running in the roadway. Upon contact, the 39-year-old man was arrested for being drunk in public.
On Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 2:57 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Nevada Avenue and Terminal Avenue. The driver, a 44-year-old man, had multiple warrants out for his arrest. He was transported to the Public Safety Center where he was booked.
At 9 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Claus Road and California Avenue on a non-injury motor vehicle accident.
During the afternoon on Wednesday at 12:51 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 6700 block of Third Street on theft of mail.
At 1:33 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to the 6500 block of Third Street on a non-injury motor vehicle accident.
Deputies were dispatched to The Home Depot on an in-custody shoplifter on Wednesday at 3:11 p.m. Deputies made contact with a 42-year-old man who was arrested for the stolen items and possession of narcotics. He was transported to the county jail without incident.
On Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 1:53 p.m., deputies took a report of grand theft. A catalytic converter was stolen.
On Monday, Nov. 7 at 2:30 p.m., deputies investigated a collision between a vehicle and pedestrian at Third and Sierra streets. The pedestrian received moderate injuries; the investigation is ongoing.
During the afternoon on Monday at 2:52 p.m., deputies took a report of grand theft in the 2400 block of Stanislaus Street. The investigation is ongoing.
Deputies attempted to pull over a motorcycle on Monday at 10:20 p.m. The rider, a 33-year-old man, fled on the motorcycle and then ran on foot. He was apprehended by deputies and transported to the Public Safety Center where he was booked on multiple charges.
