It’s National Reading Month and Doctors Medical Center in Modesto is once again celebrating.
Hospital officials recently announced that every baby born at the hospital in March will receive the book “Welcome Little One” by Sandra Magsamen.
“We hope this will help inspire a love of reading and start a library for babies born at Doctors Medical Center,” said Communications Manager Krista Deans.
National Reading Month is celebrated every March to encourage reading across all ages. There are many proven benefits of reading books: strengthening the brain, building vocabulary, improving focus and reducing stress.
