Youngsters participated in a summer camp held at Mesa Verde Elementary from June 7 to July 2. All students from grades TK to 5th grade were accepted to attend the summer camp. The teachers created a theme for each grade level with learning and activities tailored to that theme.
“The goal was to have fun, enriching opportunities for the students to learn through play and exploration,” noted former Principal, Kim Ott. “The students were enthusiastic and engaged throughout the 4 week camp.”
First graders in Mrs. Ramirez’s class made solar smores and third grade students experimented with solar and potatoes.
