Riverbank Police Services had four to six firework patrols out each night from Friday, July 2 to Sunday, July 4 looking for illegal fireworks. Those that were located will receive a citation for the violation.
On the Fourth of July while working firework patrol deputies located a 43-year-old who was arrested on suspicion of criminal threats from a prior incident.
Patrol deputies also located a 30-year-old subject who was arrested on suspicion of mayhem from a prior incident on Sunday, July 4.
Deputies were dispatched to an accident at Kentucky Avenue and Claus Road with one party attempting to leave the scene on Saturday, July 3 at approximately 5:45 p.m. When deputies arrived on scene, they conducted their investigation and arrested a 24-year-old man for suspicion of driving under the influence.
On Friday, July 2, deputies assisted Stanislaus Consolidated and several other local fire agencies on a large brush fire that started on the west side of the 3700 block of Terminal Avenue on railroad property. The fire then jumped to the east side of Terminal and was dangerously close to many residences. Local fire agencies worked hard and contained the fire with only one out house damaged. The investigation on how the fire started is ongoing.
Deputies were flagged down and notified that a subject was trying to enter a building without permission on Friday. When contacted, the woman had several active warrants for her arrest. She was arrested and transported without incident.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, deputies were dispatched to a domestic dispute on Terminal Avenue. They contacted the victim and identified a potential suspect. The investigation is still on going.
Deputies were dispatched to an incident in the 3300 block of Atchison Street just after 1 a.m. on Thursday, July 1. Deputies contacted a subject in connection with the case who was subsequently arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery and booked without incident.
Around 7 p.m. on Thursday, deputies were dispatched to The Home Depot for a subject who was being detained for petty theft. Deputies contacted a 47-year-old man and cited him for petty theft. He was advised he was no longer welcome at The Home Depot.
On Wednesday, June 30 at approximately 3:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a domestic dispute and, after contacting the victim, located the responsible. He was booked into jail without incident.
During the afternoon on Tuesday, June 29, deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 2600 block of Briarcliff Drive. Deputies located a 61-yer-old woman in the area who was causing the disturbance. She was found to have an active warrant which she was arrested for.
Deputies responded to a fight between two adult males in the 2300 block of Patterson Road on Tuesday afternoon with one suspect still being sought. During the evening on Monday, June 28, deputies were dispatched to the 5500 block of Portico Drive for a dispute. A 23-year-old man was subsequently arrested for public intoxication due to his level of intoxication.
