After a two-month break during the summer, the Escalon Farmington Community Garden Club is getting ready to resume its monthly meetings.

The September session is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 5 at Escalon United Methodist Church, 2000 Jackson Ave., Escalon, starting at 1 p.m.

Guest speaker David Yee will present a program on the topic: The Hum of Hummingbirds.

Yee is known throughout the region, and he has 35 years of experience in the ‘birding world.’

The guest speaker is first on the agenda, followed by refreshments, then the club’s formal business meeting. There is also a drawing for a door prize, and other opportunities to take items home.
