The Riverbank Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring special events, coming up in March and in the month of May.
Food Truck Friday will be offered every Friday in May, scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The food trucks will roll into town every week and park at the Riverbank Sports Complex, at 2119 Morrill Road, on the western edge of town.
They’re expecting a wide variety of delectable treats, drinks, live music and games there.
For more information, those interested are invited to contact jmontanez@riverbank.org or call 209-863-7156 for applications to have a food truck at the Friday night gatherings.
Meanwhile, it is still several weeks away, but Parks and Rec officials say it’s not too early to start planning for its scheduled Eggstravaganza, which is set for Saturday, March 23 in Jacob Myers Park.
They’ve scheduled three separate Easter Egg hunting sessions, for youth ages 3 to 5, ages 6 to 10, and ages 11 and up. Participants are invited to bring their own baskets or they’ll be able to purchase a basket at the event. Activities will run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; the first egg hunting session will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.; the second from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Refreshments will be offered and pictures with the Easter Bunny are set from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
