The Association of American Educators Foundation (AAEF), a 501(c)(3) organization, recently announced applications are now being accepted for the fall 2024 National Teacher Scholarship and Classroom Grant Program. Scholarship and grant award funding of up to $500 helps educators realize professional training and continuing education goals and fulfill classroom material needs for student-focused projects, content, activities, and curricular enrichment. The AAEF supports the mission of the Association of American Educators (AAE), a national professional association serving educators in all 50 states,

The AAE Foundation National Teacher Scholarship and Classroom Grant Program was established to encourage professional excellence and innovation for all educators and has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars to educators across the country through a competitive biannual selection process. Recent classroom grant recipients have used their awards to purchase urgently needed materials such as microscopes, bilingual early reader series, math manipulatives, flexible classroom seating, art supplies, iPads, and a variety of classroom technology platforms. Schoolwide projects and enhancements have been supported through grant funding including gardens, outdoor reading spaces, and unique art installations – all developed to positively impact current school communities and those in the future.

AAEF teacher scholarships have helped educators to advance their professionalism and attain lifelong learning goals including further degrees and certifications, as well as attend national subject area workshops and conferences.

“We are aware of the years of hard work that still lie ahead toward narrowing the learning gap left in the wake of the pandemic,” noted AAE and AAE Foundation executive director Colin Sharkey. “Supporting all educators with funding for state-of-the art technology, best practices training, and the latest tools will benefit entire learning communities long after the initial grant or scholarship award.”

Teacher scholarship and classroom grant submissions for this competitive national program are now being accepted online. The program is open to all full-time educators. Deadline for submissions is Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024. For further information and questions regarding the program, email awards@aaeteachers.org.
