Stanislaus Community Foundation (SCF) officials this week announced the launch of two new grant cycles from the Adelante Fund and the Tupo Pamoja Fund, which were established in 2024 in partnership with the Piccinini Pesco Family Fund. The two funds are governed by committees of local Latino and Black residents who have received comprehensive training in the grantmaking process. In collaboration with SCF, these committees will award grants to nonprofits, initiatives, and programs within their respective communities.

The Adelante Fund supports initiatives and organizations that benefit Latino communities in Stanislaus County. Funding priorities include youth programs, arts and culture, and women’s programs. Additional application details and eligibility requirements can be found at stanislauscf.org/adelante-fund.

The Tupo Pamoja Fund supports initiatives and organizations that benefit Black/African American communities in Stanislaus County. Funding priorities include programming dedicated to Black community building, arts and culture, workforce/training and development, health and wellness, and Black youth. Additional application details and eligibility requirements can be found at stanislauscf.org/tupo-pamoja-fund.

“The Adelante and Tupo Pamoja Fund grant cycles put the decision-making in the hands of those who know their community best. We are excited to see the meaningful impact these grants will make in these two vibrant communities,” said Marian Kaanon, President and CEO of Stanislaus Community Foundation.

Both grant cycles are open now through Feb. 14, 2025. Individuals or organizations that have questions about the grant cycle process or need assistance with applying can contact Umeeka Sheena at usheena@stanislauscf.org or 209-576-1608, Extension 106.
