Historical Society showing story of the Donner Party
Riverbank Museum

The Riverbank Historical Society is presenting an unforgettable fundraising event.

“Through Tamsen’s Eyes — The Story of the Donner Party” will delve into the harrowing tale of the Donner Party through the eyes of Tamsen Donner, as told by Leslie Scatchard. Although Tamsen’s journals have never been found, Scatchard has spent several years researching this remarkable woman and has created a stirring first-person account that is at once informative and poignant.

This is an opportunity to experience the highs and lows, the triumphs and tragedies of this historic expedition like never before.

The event will be held at the Galaxy Theatres in Riverbank on Sunday, Nov. 10 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; the doors will open at 3:30 p.m.

This is one show you don’t want to miss, Society officials said. Not only is it a fundraiser for the Riverbank Historical Society but Ms. Scatchard is a former teacher at Rio Altura Elementary School, now the Riverbank Language Academy.

General admission tickets are $20, $10 for students.
