The next step in Riverbank High School’s Youth Basketball Clinics came last Saturday, as action shifts from drills to actual game play. Although it is more or less friendly competition, participants were giving it their all, running, passing and shooting all morning. Play was divided up by class level/age group, with start times set for every hour in the morning. Played on two PE-sized cross courts in the main gym, teams, sponsored by local businesses, played each other, rotating from court to court about every 10 to 15 minutes. Saturday, Jan. 22 also marked the mid-way point in the six-week project, with three more weekends of game play remaining.
