A 63-year-old woman suffered facial injuries and was later arrested for drunk driving after crashing her golf cart into a curb on Dixon Road, ejecting her into a large landscape boulder, Friday, Oct. 8.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was driving eastbound on Dixon Road, east of Foxborough Drive when for unknown reasons, she turned, left the roadway, hit the curb and then the boulder. When she was ejected, she smashed into the boulder, fracturing a bone in her right eye socket and sustaining lacerations to her head and face.
She was airlifted to Doctors Medical Hospital for her injuries and later arrested on a DUI charge.
