Voters in the Oakdale and Riverbank areas are encouraged to attend a couple of upcoming forums, hosted by the League of Women Voters. The organization is a nonpartisan political group that provides educational events for voters.
On Wednesday, Oct. 10 the Stanislaus County/City of Modesto chambers in the basement of the building at 1010 Tenth St., Modesto, will feature candidates for the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors, Districts 3 and 4 at 6 p.m. and candidates for Stanislaus County Superintendent of Schools at approximately 7:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Oct. 16, candidates for Member of the California State Assembly, District 12, and candidates for Stanislaus County District Attorney will gather, again at 1010 Tenth St., with the assembly panel starting a 6 p.m. and the District Attorney candidates taking a turn at about 7:30 p.m.
Additionally, the Riverbank Community Center will be the site for a forum on Wednesday, Oct. 17 featuring candidates for Riverbank City Council, with the forum running from 6:30 p.m. to about 7:30 p.m.
