Members of the Riverbank High Bruins Boosters organization jumped in to serve up a tasty fundraiser this month.
The members worked in the Culinary Arts classroom to prepare and distribute their Tri-Tip Dinners on Monday, Nov. 4. The group is made up of parents of current and past athletes and RHS alumni. They were taking advantage of the time off between fall and winter sports on campus to raise some money for their programs.
Among other things, the Boosters help buy equipment and uniforms for the athletic teams and provide scholarships for graduating athletes at the end of the year. At other times, they raise money by operating the snack bar for football, soccer, basketball and track and field meets throughout the school year. The Tri-Tip Dinners were enough to feed a family of four, with salad, rolls, baked potatoes and dessert in addition to the barbecued beef.
