The Healthy Aging Association in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, and the Stanislaus County Area Agency on Aging, invites you to attend the 14th Annual Healthy Aging and Fall Prevention Summit. This year’s Theme is “Living Today for a Better Tomorrow.” The Healthy Aging and Fall Prevention Summit is open to the general public and provides free health screenings and healthy aging resources for older adults, their families and caregivers.
Health screenings will include depression screening, diabetes, vision and hearing exams, balance assessments and much more. Informational sessions will include topics such as “Living with Diabetes: Achieving Success; Keeping Medications Safe: Avoiding Overuse; Top 10 Geriatric Syndromes – What to Look For; Dementia/Alzheimer’s: The Basic 101; and Transition of Care: From Hospital to Home – Your Options.”
The Summit will be held on Friday, Oct. 21 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first 500 will receive a fresh bag of fruits and vegetables. The Summit will be located at the Modesto Centre Plaza on the corner of 10th and K Streets. Free shuttles will be available. For event information, call (209) 523-2800.
