It may be the dog days of summer, but Wiggles knows how to keep cool in the play yard pool at the Oakdale Animal Shelter. Come meet some of the loving pets available for adoption at tonight’s Riverbank Farmers Market, set from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the city’s Community Center Park. Shelter staff will also be available to microchip pets. The $20 fee includes chip insertion and registration. Dogs must be on collar and leash, and cats or kittens must be in a carrier or crate. Registered chips give lost pets the best chance of returning home.
