Students and leaders of the Riverbank High School Future Farmers of America, Band and Guard classes pulled together to pull off a local fundraiser on the RHS campus.
They pooled their efforts to cook, prepare and sell hamburger and cheeseburger dinner plates on Thursday, Oct. 17.
The grill and prep areas were set up in front of the FFA classrooms, where patrons could drive up, plunk down their cash, and drive away with their food, all bagged up, including cold beverage, choice of chips, and a small bag of condiments to round out the hamburger or cheeseburger meal.
In addition, RHS Band teacher Joey Aguilar said, about 600 tickets were sold ahead of the actual day of the event.
They are expecting proceeds to go toward additional programs in the two departments at the school.
