Roadwork Projects Impact City Traffic

A pair of extensive highway projects in Riverbank will force some detours and traffic delays over the next few weeks.

Road construction on Claus Road between California Avenue and Townsend Avenue in the city began Monday, July 8 and continues through Wednesday, July 31. Work will be done Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and there will be traffic controls in place as the project moves forward.

Also slated for road construction is an area of Terminal between Dakota and Van Dusen avenues, with traffic controls in place there as well. Work times will be the same as on the Claus Road project, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the road construction due on Terminal Avenue. The project got started on July 8 with estimates of running through the end of the month, Wednesday, July 31.

Inside, however, under the baton of Director Joey Aguilar, three of the student bands played a number of seasonal music pieces, in the Bruin Gym on the RHS campus during the Dec. 8 concert.
