The Spirit Mind Body Expo is planning an Ecumenical Celebration on Sunday, April 17. It will be held from 11 a.m. to noon at the Sonora Opera Hall and is open to the public. The theme of this year’s Expo is “Celebrating Wholeness” and the Sunday Celebration will explore this theme through art, music, poetry, and song.
Three sponsoring groups for the Expo are collaborating to present this service: the Unity Spiritual Center, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Tuolumne County, and the Shambhala Meditation Group of Sonora. Participants include Merry Ann Kain, minister serving the Unity Spiritual Center; Shauna Burrow from Shambhala Meditation Group; and Rev. Sonya Sukalski, minister of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Tuolumne County. Music will be performed and led by regional musician Amitabhan.
The service will include an introduction to meditation, poetry, singing, and a “reverse-offering.” This is the SMB’s first ecumenical celebration and this will serve as the culmination of a two-day Expo. All are welcome; free to the public. For more information, call 324-0501 or 586-9182. See also http://spiritmindbodyexpo.com.
