The District Attorney’s Office Victim Services Program and the Stanislaus Family Justice Center will sponsor a Victims’ Rights Rally and Family Safety Fair on Saturday, April 16 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will be held on the Courthouse Lawn at 1100 I St., Modesto with brief presentations by District Attorney Birgit Fladager, SFJC Executive Director Carol Shipley, Sergeant Lloyd MacKinnon of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department and a Domestic Violence Survivor. Beyer High Band will kick off the rally and additional special music will be provided by Pete and Tanya De la Puente. Lunch will be provided to all who attend.
Victim rights awareness, crime prevention education, and family safety will be the focus of the event, with a wide variety of local resources and fun activities available for families and children in the community. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
