Bobby Ray Bice, 75, died Thursday, May 5.
He was born to Emery and Etta Bice in Scipio, Oklahoma.
He was a resident of Riverbank for 13 years. He previously lived in Oakdale for more than 40 years.
Mr. Bice was a Navy veteran.
He was employed at Hershey's for 33 years.
He was a very active member of the Riverbank Assembly of God Church - board member, children's church, Royal Ranger leader, mission trips, and prison ministry.
He wrote a book and was working on another. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Diane; daughters, Joann Jackson, Jenifer McClain; brothers, Arvil, Bill, Bud, Renel, and Larry Bice; grandchildren, Amy and Larry Hayes, Amanda and Kallie Jackson; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean.
A viewing and a celebration of life was held May 11 at the Assembly of God Church, Riverbank. Burial will be at San Joaquin National Cemetery, Santa Nella.
