Irene Florence Price (Edwards), 73, passed away in her home in Oakdale, California on October 5, 2024. She was with her husband, children, and granddaughter. She fought ovarian cancer for over two years and never stopped fighting. Her strength was admired by everyone who met her.

Irene was supported for 52 years by the love of her life, her husband Dale Price. He stood by her and cared for her every day and will continue to share her memory with their two children Kara and Russell, and her granddaughter Lily. She was the heart and soul of the family and will continue to guide them every day.

Irene was born to Allen and Mabel Edwards in Oakdale on December 20, 1950. She is preceded by her elder brother Thomas Edwards and her elder sister Agnes Gaines. She leaves behind her elder siblings Jimmy Edwards, Virginia Gillman, Mary Jane Frost, and her younger brother Delbert Edwards.

Irene graduated from Oakdale High School in 1969 and went on to dedicate 35 years of her life to PG&E, where she was cherished by all who knew her. In retirement, she found joy in visiting family, immersing herself in her beloved Western novels, nurturing her beautiful garden, and spending time with her cherished cats.

Irene is loved deeply and her gentle kindness, quick wit, and subtle confidence will be missed every day.
