Richard "Dick" Fat Boy Goins, 79, of Vinita died Monday, Jan. 26 at his residence in Oklahoma.
He was a maintenance supervisor at Norris Industries, an ammunition plant in California for many years, until his retirement. He trained cutting horses with the help of his four buffalo. He raised miniature horses and mules. He was a native of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Dale Peace Post #40.
He is survived by his children, Patty Glenn of Buena Park, Sandy Goins of Clovis, Debby Bellingham of San Francisco and Gary Douglas of Arlington, Tex.; brother, W.D. Goins of New Mexico; sisters, Nancy Shadbolt of Welch, Betty Abbott of Riverside, Mary Deaton and Sue Treece, both of Santa Rosa; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys E. Goins, his parents and two brothers.
Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 31 at Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel.
