Theda B. Hanley, 89, died Sunday, March 9 at Riverbank Nursing Center.
Mrs. Hanley was a native and lifelong resident of Oakdale.
She was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. She served as a Navy nurse. She was a nurse at Oakdale Municipal Hospital for a number of years.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Odom of Oakdale, Judy Thomas of Oakdale and Tom Hanley of Nevada; sister, Shirley Silva of Idaho; brothers, Ellsworth Lerch of Oakdale, Wilbur Lerch of Southern California and Melvin Lerch of New York; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie B Hanley; mother and father, Reuben and Margaret Lerch; and nine siblings.
A memorial service was held March 17 at Oakdale Christian Church. Private burial at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery.
