“Play Day” scheduled for Riverbank students
RUSD

The Riverbank Unified School District has scheduled a “Play Day” for this coming weekend.

It will be a free, fun filled day in support of the National Day of Play, an effort led by LA84 and Play Equity Fund.

The day will include training and activities to support those from invited organizations, staff, youth and families who have a passion for sports, play and movement.

The event is to be hosted by RUSD, Riverbank Expanded Learning, and the California AfterSchool Network, in partnership with Z-Tag, Play Works, Jr. Kings and ASAPConnect.

The program is open to RUSD students from second through sixth grade, attending California Avenue School, Mesa Verde and Cardozo Middle School.

The day’s activities are scheduled for Saturday, June 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Riverbank Community Gym, on the Cardozo Middle School campus, on Santa Fe Street.
