Re-opening celebration at Riverbank Save Mart

To celebrate the grand re-opening of its store in Riverbank, Save Mart is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony and launch event featuring store leadership, local dignitaries and special guests. The occasion will honor the community of Riverbank and include donations to local organizations, grocery and gift card giveaways, store tours, product samplings and an appearance by Big Red.

The festivities are planned on Thursday, Sept. 12 with giveaways scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and the formal ribbon cutting at 10 a.m.

Officials said community donations will also be presented during the ceremony to Riverbank High School, Cardozo Middle School, Central Valley Community Resources and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District.

New features include a store sommelier with more than 600 new selections of wine, spirits and beer. The Riverbank Save Mart is at 2237 Claribel Road in the Crossroads.

Expected to attend and represent The Save Mart Companies will be John Norman, Vice President, Save Mart; and Kelly Bizzini, Store Manager, Save Mart Riverbank.

Among the local dignitaries invited are Riverbank Mayor Richard D. O’Brien along with City Council members Leanne Jones Cruz, Darlene Barber-Martinez, Luis Uribe and Rachel Hernandez, along with Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District Chief Tim Tietjen; Chief of Police Ed Ridenour; Riverbank Chamber of Commerce President Monica Perez; County Supervisor Buck Condit, District 1 and state Senate and Assembly representatives.
