For the past 11 years the Adopt a Grandparent program has made sure that the residents at a local care facility in Riverbank are not forgotten during the holiday season. This year they had a Christmas party which included a visit from Santa and a magnanimous group of people that spread joy and cheer. People selected a tag with a senior’s name on it along with a few items from their wish list that were collected and given to the individuals at their recent Christmas party. With inspiration from her late husband, Carla Strong holds this program close to her heart and with help from Stephanie Dimberg with WestAmerica Bank, the Riverbank Rotary and a few others, they keep this program alive for the seniors in the Riverbank community at Christmastime.
