Congressman Jerry McNerney, who represents the 9th Congressional District, will host a veterans town hall on Thursday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the American Legion-Karl Ross Post No. 16 in Stockton.
Representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) will be joining the Congressman to give an update on the progress of the French Camp VA facility and to discuss other issues facing the nation’s veterans.
The American Legion–Karl Ross Post is at 2020 Plymouth Road, Stockton.
This is the fourth in a series of veterans affairs town halls that the Congressman committed to hosting in order to ensure transparency and timeliness as the French Camp VA clinic moves toward construction. Congressman McNerney led the efforts for the development of the French Camp VA facility, championing the project in Congress while working with federal and local officials to select the building site and secure the federal funding for construction. He has pushed to expedite the project, meeting frequently with VA and Corps officials, and urging that regular correspondence and updates be made available to his office and the public.
