SUNDAY, JAN. 26

11:42 a.m. – Deputies investigated a report of vandalism at Fourth and Santa Fe.

8:19 p.m. – Hit and run vehicle collision investigated by deputies in the 2400 block of Claribel. The reporting party no longer needed law enforcement assistance after locating the contact information from the person that struck her car on the windshield.

9:09 p.m. – Deputies stopped a dirt bike for vehicle code violations. The rider, an adult male, was found to be driving under the influence. He was arrested for DUI, transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.

 

SATURDAY, JAN. 25

4:43 a.m. – Deputies investigated a solo vehicle collision at Claribel Road and Litt Road. The driver was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries. He was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was issued a citation for DUI.

8:53 p.m. – Theft investigation by deputies at Target. One adult female was arrested for the theft. She was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.

 

FRIDAY, JAN. 24

8:24 a.m. – Investigation by deputies regarding an email that was sent to Riverbank school board members with vague threats. Deputies investigating the incident could not identify any credible threats. The information was also forwarded to our Threat Assessment Detective for follow-up. Extra patrols will be conducted around the schools.

10:09 a.m. – Deputies investigated a neighbor disturbance in the 5300 block of Perrin Court.

11:29 p.m. – Verbal disturbance report investigated by deputies in the 6200 block of Panda Way.

 

THURSDAY, JAN. 23

4:19 a.m. – Deputies followed up on a case and found a subject in custody to have an active warrant out of the US Marshall’s office. The warrant was sent to jail and the subject was rebooked.

8:12 a.m. – Stolen vehicle report; deputies investigated the report in the 3500 block of Virginia.

9:47 a.m. – Deputies responded to the 2600 block of Patterson for a subject having an episode. The subject was transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.

1:33 p.m. – Reported theft investigated by deputies in the 2600 block of Briarcliff.

5:33 p.m. – Deputies investigated a theft at Target. One adult male was arrested for theft. He was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.

6:25 p.m. – Theft investigation by deputies at Kohls. One adult female was arrested for theft. She was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.

7:57 p.m. – Deputies investigated a vehicle collision in the 2500 block of Patterson. During the investigation one driver was found to be driving under the influence. An adult male was arrested for DUI. He was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.

9:49 p.m. – Theft investigation by deputies at Target. Two adult females were arrested for theft. They were transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.

 

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 22

10:49 a.m. – Deputies responded to the 5800 block of Lipizzan for a subject having an episode. The subject was transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.

3:38 p.m. – Riverbank detectives assisted Turlock Police Department with the apprehension of two subjects that had stolen product from Home Depot in Turlock. The same two subjects came to Home Depot in Riverbank and left after becoming nervous. They were transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.

7:17 p.m. – Deputies investigated a vehicle collision at Patterson and Jackson. The people involved did a name exchange and law enforcement was not needed.

 

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS

On Thursday, Jan. 23, SRO Johnson did a presentation for the safety committee at the Riverbank School District Office.

On Jan. 23, Riverbank detectives, traffic deputies, CRD Deputy Buck, CSO Lundrigan and Modesto Police detectives conducted an Organized Retail Crime prevention operation at the Crossroads Shopping Center. There were four arrests and a total of approximately $500 on product recovered.

Friday, Jan. 24, SRO Johnson participated in Coffee with the Superintendent at Cardozo Middle School.

Program uses guitars, music to promote healing for vets

Boele was excited to receive the funding, pointing out that the money will purchase five guitars for veterans who complete the program of guitar lessons. It is a 10-week course, he said.
