Shakespeare’s Romantic Comedy On Stage At Delta
DELTA POSTER

Delta Drama brings William Shakespeare’s renowned romantic comedy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” to life starting Nov. 30, with a modern take on this well-known classic that will make you question what you thought you knew about the timeless play and about Shakespeare himself.

This is not the fluffy fairy tale you are used to.

Take a wild ride with the starry-eyed lovers and mischief-making fairies to a dream-like world where nothing is impossible. The Delta Drama actors take a breath at the top and don’t exhale until the curtain comes down.

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” presented by Delta Drama opens Thursday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m., with additional 7 p.m. shows on Fridays, Dec. 1 and Dec. 8; Saturdays, Dec. 2 and 9. Matinee performances, at 2 p.m., are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2 and Sundays, Dec. 3 and 10.

The production will be presented at the San Joaquin Delta College Tillie Lewis Theatre, 5151 Pacific Ave., Stockton.

Tickets are $7 for general admission (18 and older) and $5 for students (up to 17 years old). Additional fees apply online. Tickets are available at the Box Office, by calling (209) 954-5110, or at deltadrama.com. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

The Drama Program at Delta College provides a rigorous, disciplined, and integrated curriculum designed to meet the vocational demands of the theatre profession and develops knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for transfer to the upper division level as well as fulfilling AA Degree general education requirements.
