Area students and parents can meet with representatives from more than 40 universities across the state, while also learning more about transfer and career opportunities available through Delta College, as Delta’s annual College Night returns on Sept. 4.

The event, now in its 47th year, is an opportunity to learn about universities as well as the advantages of a Delta education.

“College Night gives students a chance to gain insight into the many options available to them,” said Chris Frymire, manager of the Delta Connect Center, a one-stop shop that provides student services in Delta’s DeRicco Building.

“We’ll also take the opportunity to remind them that Delta College itself is an excellent and affordable option, with dozens of career education programs and transfer pathways to choose from, and free tuition for first-time, full-time college students,” Frymire added.

College Night, hosted on the Delta campus at 5151 Pacific Ave., Stockton, is scheduled from 5:45 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Current high school students, Delta students, and parents may gain valuable insights at College Night. Learn about different majors and careers, and how to complete transfer requirements at Delta while earning an Associate Degree. Information about admissions to four-year universities will be provided by the California State University and University of California systems, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Here is the schedule for College night:

Delta College Financial Aid overview: Atherton Auditorium, 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
