It was a very successful show recently, hosted by the Valley Art Association, and staged at the Gene Bianchi Community Center in Oakdale. Shown, Shari Borba, left, was selected for the Artist Choice award and one of the three People’s Choice awards, with VAA Vice President Carol Earle making the presentation. The other People’s Choice awards went to Richard Jones and Rose Percey.

There was a Mayor’s Award that went to Fred Smith. Altogether, there were about 100 pieces of artwork on display in many medias from paintings to pottery, fine art painted porcelain and crochet. The show supported Valley Art Association and its scholarship fund.
