Riverbank High School football players for the coming season, along with next year’s cheer squad members, teamed up for a combined fundraiser over the weekend.

Cars waiting in line at the bus circle on campus on Saturday morning, June 17 stretched back down the drive and onto Patterson Road, on the north side of the campus, at times back as far as the stoplight at Claus Road.

The wash crews used three stations around the circle to efficiently handle their chores: first station, to get the suds on, next station, to get a good rinse, then the final one, the drying spot, before patrons drove back out onto the street and into the rest of their weekend.

Athletic Boosters Raising Funds

Bruin Boosters for RHS teams have also scheduled an upcoming fundraiser to benefit the fall season ahead.

The ‘Burger Benefits’ program is a tasty way to contribute to Booster activities, hosted at the Carl’s Jr. restaurant. It’s scheduled for June 21 and 22, all day.

The folks at the local Carl’s Jr., at 2773 Patterson Road, will be donating 25-percent of all sales generated by friends and family who stop by on those days.

They did have a printed coupon that the football and cheer crew was handing out Saturday, but they say that patrons only have to mention Riverbank High to get the donation applied to the Boosters program.

Truck dry
Even big rig trucks need to be washed every once in a while, and this one is getting a drying after a bath at Riverbank High School on Saturday morning. The RHS football teams and cheerleader squads joined forces to hold a fundraising carwash, at the bus circle on campus. Ric McGinnis/The News
