Thirteen-year-old Lydia Hodges, the sister of 2011 Riverbank News Athlete of the Year Ben Hodges, is blazing her own trail on the California Track and Field scene.
Lydia completed her U.S.A Track and Field season this month at the Region 14 meet in Stockton.
She finished top-five in the high jump with a new personal best of four feet, four inches, and missed qualifying for the Junior Olympics by just one placement.
Lydia is a four-year veteran of the Central Valley Roadrunners, and stood out this season with stellar marks in the pole vault (6-6) and long jump (13-9) as well.
