Riverbank youngsters take the opportunity to learn skills about playing basketball at the Community Gymnasium on the Cardozo Middle School campus. It was part of a free, fun-filled National Day of Play, organized recently by LA84 and Play Equity Fund, hosted by the Riverbank Unified School District. It was open to elementary students in second through sixth grades, both boys and girls. Participants came from California Avenue, Mesa Verde and Cardozo schools. They played from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
