Riverbank teams continue league play out of town

All the Riverbank High teams were in action this past week, with most contests played on the road. There was one match on the home volleyball court.

 

Lady Bruin Volleyball

The girl netters were scheduled to play on the road at Summerville on Tuesday, Oct. 8, and ended up falling to the host Bears in straight sets, 3-0. On Thursday, the Linden Lady Lions came to play a Mother Lode League match in the Ray Fauria Gym, taking three straight games, 25-12, 25-12 and 25-15, from the host Lady Bruins.

RHS was set to play at Big Valley Christian on Oct. 15, and host Calaveras for Senior Night on Thursday, Oct. 17.

 

Lady Bruin Flag Football

Girl gridders for Riverbank High played Aspire Langston Hughes Academy in Stockton last Thursday, Oct. 10, coming away with the hard-fought win, 14-12. They’re set to host Millennium’s Lady Falcons in action on the home field Thursday, Oct. 17.

 

Co-Ed Cross Country

RHS runners have two meets this week, hosting the Mother Lode League run at Jacob Myers Park on Wednesday afternoon, and traveling to the Rough Rider Invitational at Woodward Park in Fresno on Friday. Right now, the varsity boys squad is in second place in the MLL standings, while the varsity girls are tied for first place.

 

Lady Bruin Golf

Riverbank girls were to take the golf course to play at Bret Harte on Tuesday and host Linden in Mother Lode League action Thursday, Oct. 17.

 

Bruin Football

The Riverbank High School team played at Big Valley High School in Modesto last Friday, Oct. 11, losing by a final of 42-3. The squad continues with their Mother Lode League schedule this week, as they will host Linden on Friday, Oct. 18 at Angelo Novi Field.
