Even though spring, with its baseball and softball games seems a way off, the deadline for registering for the upcoming youth softball/baseball season is fast approaching.

The Riverbank Youth Baseball Softball Association is currently accepting registration for the 2025 season, with sign-ups due by Friday, Jan. 24.

Baseball teams are broken down into several age groups, with ages as of April 30, 2025: T-Ball, ages 4-6; Rookies American, age 7; Rookies National, age 8; Minors, ages 9-10; Majors, ages 11-12; and Pony, ages 13-14.

On the softball side, T-Ball is also ages 4-6; in addition to teams for 8-under, ages 7-8; 10-u, ages 9-10; 12-u, age 11-12; ages 14-u, 13-14.

Organizers note that it may be necessary to combine 12-u with 14-u.

They also point out that the 2025 season runs from Feb. 18 to May 17.

And they added that a new feature in signups this year is a sibling discount for more than one registrant from the same family.
